Last year Cello Fury took schools by storm and this year they're back with a new program and a new line-up! Drummer Dave Throckmorton joins cellists Simon Cummings, Nicole Myers, and Ben Muñoz on a bold exploration of the boundaries between traditionally classical instruments and rock music. The quartet explores the dynamic relationship between percussion and strings, the interplay of rhythms, and the technology involved in producing a live show. Students will identify various tone colors produced on the cello and drums and have the opportunity to participate in the program. This cutting edge, classically trained cello ensemble melds genres for an original and organic sound, connecting both classical and rock audiences with their passionate and inspiring instrumental music.
