Artist: Music, Magic, Myth
An actor tells the classic tale of The Nutcrack er by E.T.A. Hoffman, while three musicians accompany the story with familiar music from Tchaikovsky’s ballet. Students will identify and analyze narrative elements used in storytelling—words and music. The animated storytelling (no dance) is a holiday treat for students and adults alike.
“It was magical! Upon returning to the classroom the children were anxious to discuss what we had just experienced.”
– Lisa Hess, 3rd grade teacher, Saxonburg Elementary
