Artist: Attack Theatre

Running the gamut from Tchaikovsky, Ellington and Bizet to contemporary music, Attack Theatre’s Holiday Unwrapped is an interactive dance adapted from classical and contemporary holiday fare that invites students to experience the holidays with a fresh perspective. Students will identify the connection of movement language with music, partnering and props and discover how each of these elements help convey expression, images and feelings as a holiday theme is translated into contemporary dance.

Under the artistic direction of Peter Kope and Michele de la Reza, Attack Theatre has been making personal, accessible and collaborative dance-based performances for more than fifteen years that create a physically dynamic environment appropriate for audiences of all ages. They combine modern dance, original live music, multimedia and interdisciplinary art forms to present work in traditional and nontraditional spaces both nationally and internationally.

Clean wood floor/stage surface, min. 20’ x 20’ and 13’ ceiling height, access to electrical outlets. 1 hr. between back to back performances.
